Management Group

Chaired Chris MARSTON

The workshop sessions are dedicated to every Eurojuris member who wishes to improve daily firm practice and exchange experiences.

Session:

Talented lawyers will always have work, but for your law firm to be successful, you need to develop your business skills. The management group meeting will explore two themes, with presentations from expert speakers followed by questions and debate.

1. How employing a Sales Director has benefited a regional UK law firm

Neil Lloyd, Sales Director at FBC Manby Bowdler LLP in Wolverhampton, UK, will talk through some of the changes the firm has made over the past two years as it has embraced having a Sales Director as part of the Leadership Team. A bold and unusual move for a law firm, so why did they do it?

• Observations of the legal profession from a non-lawyer

• How FBCMB has structured itself for sales success

• Insight into FBCMB Sales Success Programme & the results so far

• What does the future hold?

2. Time and the modern lawyer

Benjamin English, Co-Managing partner at Avril & Marion in Saint Brieuc, France, will share his thoughts on time, its value and how to manage it.

• Is a compromise necessary between the quality and the quantity of time ?

• Set methods, don’t set goals : lessons from Tim Ferriss, David Allen and others

• Connection tools are not your enemies
